Washing Machine?

Von- keep up the good work of making your kids do their own laundry . You are a credit to motherhood as I , obviously, am not!
Tomorrow, we have friends who are coming for the day. I was baking a lemon meringue pie ,when I realized that the fridge was full and I would have to turn on the small fridge to store the pie. I called to my older son to bring an extension cord and to plug in the fridge, "but" I said " plug it into the outlet where the washer is and not the outlet where the dryer is plugged in. " He looked me strait in the eye and asked "Which one is the washer?"

Pictures are of pie in small fridge, and 16 year old who is focused on x box and doesn't know the difference between a washer and a dryer!

OMG, Rachael, too funny!! You really must educate the boy, though! ;>

Just proves Rick's theory that when boys turn 14 their brains are safely locked away in a box only to be opened at a much later date. Typically when they are mature enough to use them. My addendum to this addage is "in some cases the key is turned over to the wife upon marriage and then she gets to decide when the man is ready to get his brain back. Sadly some never do"

Save me a piece of pie OK??

LOL! That's toooo much, Rachael. :D
I do believe the boy will have to become much better acquainted with said washer and dryer - pronto. Just be prepared to exercise your patience muscles. Cheryl's right, at 14 these boys have a hard time employing their brains in any endeavor that Mother would have them involved in.

And you are a good Mom. :)

Do that child's future wife a favor and teach him how to use the washer and the dryer. Trust me, she'll love you for it! ;-)

Yum pie!
My problem is that I tell Sean (son) one thing and his dad asks me the same thing minutes later (are the dishes dirty in the dishwasher?) Sean does his own laundry once in a while. When I was really sick for a month when he was a teen, he learned a bunch of stuff.
